Our trip to the pumpkin patch

We went a little early this year, but Todd wanted to make sure we could go before he deploys. He said he'd be heartbroken if we went without him.

So, without further ado, here are this year's pumpkin patch pictures. I'll include some from previous years as well, for comparison sake. :)

Will was so excited this year about picking his pumpkins. He went on and on about finding one "just my size".

The first stop is always by the sunflower patch. Will enjoys seeing and smelling the flowers.

After the sunflowers, we usually stop to get Will's picture taken with the Maple Lane Farm's "How Tall This Fall" sign. Previous years have been included for size reference. :)

After a few more (new) photo ops, we headed to the hay ride out to the patch.

They had a combine at the farm and Will about lost his mind. HA HA He kept saying "It's FRANK!!" Anyone who has been forced to watch Cars 100 times will know who that is.

So, we're finally on the tractor ride out to the pumpkin patch.

And they're off - looking for the perfect pumpkins.

I'll say, this year was by far the best crop we've seen at MLF - and this was our 3rd year. They had tons of really large, nice, orange pumpkins. We had a hard time narrowing it down to which ones we were going to buy.

Will found one that he likes

For comparison sake, here's Will with his pumpkin last year.

And the year before

I did, too. And no, there's not another pumpkin stashed under my shirt.

We had to take the time to snap a few family shots, too. I think they turned out pretty well.
